Robin Moriates is the current President of the NNJ Chapter of the A.S.T.D. Prior to beginning this 3-year term on the Board of Directors in 2007, she was contributing to the Professional Development team.
Robin began her career in 1986 at Unilever. She has extensive experience in training and development and communications in the pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, retailing, and food industries. Her educational background includes an M.B.A. in Management, M.A. in Corporate and Organizational Communications and B.S. in Marketing.

Claudia Sandonato
is the Director of Human Resources at Urban Pathways, a non-profit agency in Manhattan. Her broad background includes experience in workplace learning design and facilitation, organizational development, behavioral health, and HR. Prior to moving to NJ, Claudia was President of the Greater Detroit Chapter of ASTD. She earned her Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) designation through the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI) and graduated from the Planned Change Internship in Ann Arbor, MI.

Scott Cohen is currently the Director of Training and Standards for Children's Aid and Family Services Inc. - a private not for profit human services agency, based in Paramus, NJ. Scott manages the learning initiatives and the structure of the agency's training and reporting systems to maintain compliance with national accreditation, State, and agency requirements. His background in corporate training and development is preceded by his experiences in higher education administration, and as a former K-12 ESL and foreign language teacher. He holds a Master of Arts in Education from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in International Business with a Minor in French from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Diane Brescher founder of DB Consulting Partners, has over 19 years of experience in the performance improvement and organizational development field. She has held various roles for AIG, American Express, Chubb Insurance, and GE supporting various functional areas including Sales, Marketing, Business and Client Development, New Product Development, and Operations. She has a full range of areas of expertise including assessment, facilitation, design and development, and evaluation skills. Her extensive experience in the leadership development area, includes the design of 360 leadership tools, leadership coaching, and various types of leadership training. Diane has built a training department and infrastructure supporting over 2,000 worldwide as well as various sales curriculum programs. Diane is a pioneer CPLP and is writing her dissertation on entrepreneurship to earn her Ed D in Adult Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Debra’s expertise includes writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as interpersonal communication, teambuilding, and leadership development. Pam Sammarco's 20 years in Workplace Learning & Performance offers a breadth and depth of skills and knowledge to help employees learn and advance their job performance. Pam brings experience with Alcatel-Lucent, American Express and Citicorp. Pam's education includes an MS and a BA in Applied Psychology, with a concentration in HR Management and statistics. Pam has been an active National ASTD and local NNJ-ASTD member. She has participated on the NNJ Board of Directors for 11 years and currently holds VP of Leadership Development.

Jack Appleman is an award-winning writer who brings more than 20 years' experience as a trainer, communication professional and professor. His writing workshops have enabled corporate employees at different levels to write more productively. Jack has published hundreds of articles, spanning various industries. These include columns on the importance of good writing in Human Resource Executive and in PR Tactics & The Strategist Online. As a professor, Jack also teaches writing at Fairleigh Dickinson and at William Patterson. He received his MS in Journalism from Ohio University and earned the Certified Business Communicator designation from the Business Marketing Association. Jack is also a past president of BMA's New Jersey chapter.

RaQia Randall-Bouchard is a Learning Consultant for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. In 1998, she began her career in adult education at Aetna US Healthcare in Greensboro North Carolina, followed by Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, Group Health Insurance in New York, and Liz Claiborne Inc. Her extensive and cross-cultural training background includes the development and delivery of training courses across the United States including Puerto Rico, and internationally in China and the Netherlands. RaQia’s educational background includes a B.A in Adult Education and Development and an M.S in Human Resources Development from Villanova University.

Meg Paradise is Manager of Professional Women’s Program at J.H. Cohn. In Beijing, China, Meg teaches ‘Negotiations and Leadership,’ and ‘Organizational Behavior’ in Rutgers Executive MBA Program. In Beijing and Shanghai, China, Meg was keynote speaker for “Leading During Times of Change.” She teaches Transformational Leadership and Organizational Theory in New York University’s Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development.

Meg has served in leadership positions at Right Management, AT&T, AT&T Solutions and she consults with companies including, PepsiCo, the Ford Motor Company, Chubb Corporation, SunTrust Banks, Kawasaki Motors, Inc., and Capital Cities/ABC Daytime Dramas

Meg led a coalition of Deans and Directors at Rutgers University to establish the Women’s Business Leadership Initiative in 2007. She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology with specialization in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. She has been inducted into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.

Ed Parkin is currently a Master Education and Training Consultant with Ricoh Americas Corporation, Pine Brook, NJ. Over his thirty-two years in the technical learning and performance field, he has held the positions of: Lead Trainer for Singer Business Systems, Training and Development Specialist for TRW Customer Service, and Eastern National Training Manager for Casio, Inc. Ed has developed and implemented multiple advanced technical programs for use in both instructor-led as well as internet-based training environments. He holds several CompTIA Certifications including Certified Technical Trainer+, and several Microsoft and Novell certifications. Ed is also a "Pioneer" ASTD Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP). He is a graduate of Devry Technical Institute and is currently attending Grantham University.

Vince Giambalvo, Ph.D. Vince started his professional career as Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at the State University of NY. After 4 years, he left the academic world to join ADP as a training specialist. In his quarter century in the T&D/OD world, Vince has worked for ADT, Duro-Test Lighting, A&P as well as being an independent consultant for 5 years. He joined GAF Materials Corp. 5 years ago in a start up position. At GAF MC, he has initiated training for sales people, supervisors, managers and other company leaders, as well as starting the GAF On-Line University. Vince specializes in all “soft” skills training.

Victoria Macdonald is the Director of Education at Tiffany & Co. She had been responsible for the learning and development of 1,300 employees across the U.S. when she was with BMW and spent three years at BMW’s world headquarters in Munich, Germany, where she was the process owner for their global learning management. She has more than 20 years of experience in corporate-based adult learning. She earned her B.A. cum laude from Barnard College/Columbia University and her M.A. in Adult Education from Montclair State University. In 1993, Victoria served as President of NNJ-ASTD. She has been a featured speaker at the ASTD International Conference and Exhibition, the Association for Women in Computing, the Information Technology Conference (ITTC), LearnTec, and the American Management Association (AMA). In 2003 she founded the Munich Learning Consortium in Germany.
